I’m Enya, the founder of The Edit Coaching, where I offer coaching and writing services.
I’m a qualified coach, writer, and editor with over ten years’ experience in education working in outreach, careers education, and accessibility.
I also wear the hat of being Operations Director for Marixia, a newly-founded research intelligence company that works with science-led companies and researchers.
I’m a proud champion of lifelong learning, finding joy in the everyday, and of the value that comes with finding your own individual path that supports the future you want to live, whatever that may look like.
You can read more about my experience, publications, and qualifications below.
Outside of work, I’m at my happiest when I’m exploring the great outdoors, reading stories with my little girl, or writing in the garden with a coffee — wearing a blanket or a sun hat, depending on the season!
If you’re curious about working together, I’d love to hear from you.
Hello!
I have ten years’ experience in education, using coaching and mentoring to help people grow, develop, and reach their goals.
My work has included:
Higher education outreach
Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI)
Careers education
I’m experienced in supporting people with complex needs — including neurodivergent individuals, those managing multiple health conditions, and those navigating mental health challenges.
I’m also highly skilled in coaching people with complex and/or demanding circumstances, for example, individuals in senior leadership positions with young families and caring responsibilities.
What I love most about this work is seeing people gain confidence, explore new possibilities, and experience more joy and fulfilment in their lives.
Experience
My work in coaching has been academically published and presented at conferences, most of these are open source if you would like to take a look.

I’d love to show off a separate section here listing ‘creative publications’, but I’m not quite there yet; I am choosy over what I like to share, where I share it, and under what name, and the vulnerability of creative writing is part of its appeal for me. I have written creative pieces for community anthologies, written screenplays for an independent film company, and I have placed in poetry and flash fiction competitions.
